Landscape lighting can be the thing that takes your backyard from basic to bling, but undertaking a lighting plan for your yard can be an intimidating project. What kind of power cable and transformer should I need?
e.gSuppose there is a set of 4 path lights (each 3W) and 2 flood lights (each 4.5W) need to be installed in the garden, How to choose the cable and the transformer?
1.Add the individual light fixture wattages for all lights. 4*3W+2*4.5W=21W
2.The typical distance between two lights is 6-8 feet, but closer or farther is ok too. Based on the above diagram, 6 lights total watts in 0-60 should choose 75-100ft 16AWG power cable.
3.Transformer is large enough to support the Total Fixture Wattage, it should be the best usage within 80 percent of the rated capacity. So in this case a 45W transformer is enough.
Note: A transformer that is too large for the load may overdrive the lamps which will shorten their life spans.

I love these lights! We bought our first two sets of these about two years ago for our front yard and we’ve loved them so much we keep buying more! Within about 6 months I had to have another 2 sets for the back yard! We get so many compliments on our landscape lighting from neighbors and even delivery drivers! The lights are bright and welcoming but also give us a sense of security in that we don’t have dark places to hide or spaces for people to easily trip! I just bought two more sets of lights for a trail in our backyard that I’ve been working on for about 8 months. We have our new lights spaced a bit further apart to make the 12 lights fit the space we needed but we can still see beautifully with the amount of light they provide- it’s fantastic!! I love how easy they are to install and how professional they look! If I could I’d buy even more, they are pricey but worth saving up for!!! Buy these over a cheaper version and you won’t regret it - you get what you pay for.

Best lights we've ever purchased
We have around 100+ outdoor lights on our 2 acre golf-community lot - and these are the best. Sturdy metal construction and assemble in less that a minute. So easy to install it's amazing. After the first purchase of one we've purchased three additional sets - total of 24 lights along various pathways. Nice bright light shining down onto the path and the cover (hat) prevents glare up into your eyes. Placing them about every 10 feet gives ample ground lighting on the pathway - so each six-pack covers around 60 feet of path. Highly recommend - we'll actually buy some more!

Wiring is irresistible to critters.
Really enjoy how these look and amount of light they give off but the critters enjoy nibbling on the wires and the connectors to the lights are positioned way too close to the base so you can’t re-solder these wires together. That is my only complaint is the wiring space to be able to work on them.

I was able to install the light myself and they worked wonderfully. It’s been almost 2 years since I set them up in the front and back yard and they are the perfect brightness. I used them with the ring lighting, one in the front and one in the back. Love these lights.

This is the second set purchased since the first was wonderful looking.
Happy with purchase. Wish the cord was a bit more sturdy. It’s very thin and worried will break. A bit hard to get tree straight in stand. Looks good and like the color options. Would consider a remote version next time as foot pedal you have to click through all settings to turn it off.
These lights are so very easy to install and give off an abundance of light. I linked 4 of them together in my attic and am not disappointed in these lights at all. I would purchase these again.
Just installed these low voltage LED outdoor path lights - easy, beautiful, reasonable! The fixtures themselves look far more expensive than the $21 each...the crackled glass is so unique & stylish, and the metal housing is an attractive bronze-ish finish. Hard to believe the set of 6 only sucks up the equivalent of 21 watts. I had purchased a set of 6 about a year ago & they still look amazing. They throw off a soft, yet more than ample amount of light - even the neighbors are complimenting them!
